Parnngurr
Parnngurr was a very important site for the artist’s family in the pujiman (bush) days as there is a permanent yinta (waterhole) there. The artist used to camp in this country with her family when she was young. They would meet up with a lot of their other family members here. They would all come together before travelling on to other places. This is where the artist and her family were picked up and a big mob taken to the mission in Jigalong. This area is now the site of the Parnngurr Aboriginal Community.
