This painting depicts country around the artist’s home of Kunawarritji. Kunawarritji is also known as Well 33 on the Canning Stock Route. In ancient times, the Seven Sisters stopped here and shaped a number of landforms before continuing on their long journey east. The artist continues to live at Kunawarritji community to look after this country and her family.

Martumili Artists works across an extremely large geographical area. As such there is limited capacity to reach each community on a regular basis. While Martumili Artists supports Karntimarta Artists in Warralong, the artists paint largely independently.

By purchasing these works you are supporting Warralong artists in building a positive and sustainable arts practice. This purchase will help Martumili Artists support Kartinmarta Artists and other community outreach programs.

All works are affordably priced and have been painted on unstretched, pre-primed canvas.
